I got pulled into the inspection at the Hyattstown scale last December. The officer who "inspected" my truck went into the pit with squeaky clean hands without a rag or anything and came back up the same way. He then proceeded to tell me that I had an oil leak and a cracked brake lining. When I asked where the oil leak was he pointed at the blowby tube lol. I took the truck straight to the shop in Richmond, VA and had it looked at. $75 later I had the shop report stating that the "oil leak" was the blowby tube and the "cracked brake lining" was nothing more then dirt build up. But even though I faxed this report to the Hyattstown scale house, the Commercial Motorvehicle Enforcement and my company, I was still given 18 points on my CSA score and was told there was nothing I can do about it because the "officer" was "being nice" and just gave a warning I can't fight the points. I found out later that this particular scale is a "training scale". I just wish they would actually TRAIN their rookies and not just let them lose on us drivers without even knowing what the hell they are looking at.

That insane csa crap file/record is another detriment to Truckers and there IS NO WAY TO FIGHT IT, although, I believe WE CAN ADD INFO like statements to OUR FILES.
POINTS will reduce through some lengthy time according to the info at the site(s).
