There is only one scale on the north side of the two lane highway. Both directions traveling east and west are required to pull in when they're open. The just poured new new lanes and paint, so this scale will be there for awhile. It's attended by a scalemaster during business hours. I have seen Indiana DOT set up here, even though this is an Illinois scale. How can they do that? Personally, I've never had a problem there going through twice a day for the last three months on a new dedicated route.

This scale usually just has the weighmaster here. It's usually open during normal business hours. Sometimes the State Police will come here and do inspections. They busted me once, but they were fair with me. I make it a point not to go through here anymore.
