The Morgantown truck scale is located at the top of a 4-mile-long 5% downhill grade. This is a mandatory truck stop- whether the weigh station is open or not, trucks must stop. There is a 50 mph speed limit on the grade for all vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVWR. There is a runaway truck ramp located at mile marker 11.5.
